Contains official correspondence including military personnel paperwork (1938-46) and personal correspondence (1945-85). Includes news clippings on 106th Infantry Division and other Allied units in the Battle of the Bulge (1944-45); roster of Battery F, 190th Field Artillery (n.d.) and 190th Field Artillery (155mm Gun) (1942); messages from Roosevelt and Montgomery to Allied troops regarding the invasion of France (1944); German and Allied propaganda leaflets (1944-45); memorial card for German military casualties (1942-43) and souvenir programs and other World War II memorabilia (1938-45). A map of U.S. positions near Vielsalm, Belgium; photocopied citations on Wilson's Bronze Star award (1944) and newsletters and reunion information from 106th Infantry Division Association and 104th Cavalry Veteran's Association are also found in the collection.

Wilson served with Troop I, 104 Cavalry Regiment, Pa. National Guard in the late 1930's. During World War II was with Battery F and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 190th Field Artillery Regiment (1942-43) and was also deployed with coast artillery in Northern Ireland (1942). Following initial stages of the Battle of the Bulge, Wilson was transferred to the 424th Infantry Regiment where he served as a machine gunner. Was awarded the Bronze Star and discharged from the Army in 1945. ...
